Ok, so here we go! Week 4 is now in the books! We are now basically a quarter of the way through the season now, and I’m still trying to figure out who I can rely on for some solid fantasy output from week to week. Well, let’s check out who were the studs and who were the duds in week 4.

Quarterbacks
Biggest Winners
Justin Fields – Fields had a game this Sunday resembling what Josh Allen has done on good days, or what I thought Jalen Hurts would be doing all season. Fields got his legs going, rushing for 55 yards and 2 TDs, something fantasy owners would be happy if their RB accomplished. Fields also passed for 312 yards and 1 TD, earning him the fantasy QB1 title for the week.
Jordan Love – Love had an epic return from injury passing for a whopping 389 yards and 4 TDs! Although those numbers are huge, Love also threw 3 INTs, and only completed 59 percent of his passes (32 of 54). Love did look a little rusty to start the game, so most of his damage came late in the game.
Baker Mayfield – Mayfield and the Bucs had a real stinker in week 3, losing to the Denver Broncos, but they bounced back in week 4 in their dominating win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Mayfield himself threw for 347 yards and 2 TDs, adding a rushing TD.
Jared Goff – Goff had a wild week 4 where he became the only QB in NFL history to be perfect. He completed all 18 of his passes for 292 yards and 2 TDs, and even caught a 7 yard TD pass from WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, in Detroit’s convincing win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Honorable Mentions:
Jayden Daniels – 26 of 30 for 233 yards and 1 TD passing, 47 yards and 1 TD rushing
Lamar Jackson – 13 of 18 for 156 yards and 2 TDs passing, 54 yards and 1 TD rushing
C.J. Stroud – 27 of 40 for 345 yards and 2 TDs passing
Biggest Losers
Josh Allen – Ok, so I’m starting to see a trend here. In weeks 1 & 3, Allen earned the fantasy QB1 title. In weeks 2 & 4, Allen earned the fantasy QB biggest loser title. In week 4, Allen was a disappointing 16 of 29 for 180 yards and no TDs rushing for a modest 21 yards. Will week 5 keep the pattern going when the Bills go to Houston?
Derek Carr – Carr had a nice couple of weeks to start the season, but has come back down to earth a bit in fantasy. He still had a decent game in week 4, but his 1 INT, and no TDs is no good for fantasy owners.
Kyler Murray – Murray only rushed once for 3 yards, and for Murray fantasy owners, that’s crushing. He had averaged almost 54 yards rushing per game prior to week 4. His 142 yards and 1 TD passing was also disappointing for Murray fantasy owners.
Patrick Mahomes – While the KC Chiefs are 4-0, Mahomes is yet to have a fantasy game in which his fantasy owners are happy with. In week 4, his in game stats were decent, but fantasy owners are hoping for more than 245 yards passing and 1 TD, week to week, from Mahomes.

Wide Receivers
Biggest Winners
Nico Collins – Collins had yet another stellar game catching 12 receptions for 151 yards and 1 TD, earning the WR1 title for week 4. Collins leads the league in receiving yards by over 100 yards, averaging 122 yards receiving per game, is 2nd in receptions, and most important for Collins fantasy owners, leads all receivers in fantasy points.
Jayden Reed – Not only were the Packers in come back mode, which means pass, pass, pass, but Reed benefited from the return of his QB, Jordan Love, who also made the biggest winners list. Reed was able to haul in 7 of his 8 targets for 139 yards and 1 TD. Reed averages 138.5 yards receiving with Jordan starting under center in 2024.
Jordan Addison – Addison had a nice day coming off an ankle injury, catching 3 of only 4 targets, but still racked up 72 yards and 1 TD. He also added a 7 yard rushing TD. Minnesota needed every bit of Addison’s efforts to hold off the Packers for a victory.
Dontayvion Wicks – Wicks makes the list due to his pair of TDs, but it took him 13 targets to pull in only 5 receptions for 78 yards.
Honorable Mentions:
CeeDee Lamb – 7 receptions for 98 yards and 1 TD
Brian Thomas Jr. – 6 receptions for 86 yards and 1 TD
Mike Evans – 8 receptions for 94 yards and 1 TD
Biggest Losers
Zay Flowers – Flowers finds himself on the biggest losers list for the second consecutive week, this time for hauling in just 1 reception for 10 yards. Baltimore’s game scripts have something to do with it, as QB Lamar Jackson only had 33 attempts the past 2 games. With the addition, and emergence of RB Derrick Henry, Baltimore’s pass catcher’s fantasy value has decreased.
Calvin Ridley – Ridley also finds himself on the biggest losers list for the second consecutive week. He also was only able to haul in 1 reception, but for only 5 yards. He added a 10 yard rush, his highlight of the day.
Garrett Wilson – Field conditions were wet and rainy, so you have to give a little slack to pass catchers in this game, but even still, Wilson’s 5 receptions for 41 yards and a fumble lost wasn’t what Wilson fantasy owners were hoping for.
Running Backs
Biggest Winners
Derrick Henry – Henry showed us that he hasn’t slowed down a bit in week 4, rushing for 199 yards and 1 TD, while adding a receiving TD as well. The Ravens took an early lead against the Bills, and leaned on Henry to close out the game in the 2nd half. Henry has had 49 carries in the past 2 weeks, after not breaking 20 in either of his first 2 games, and has scored in all 4 contests so far this season. I’ll be interested to see if Henry continues to get 20+ carries per game from here on out, and what kind of fantasy production that could produce.
Kenneth Walker III – Walker had a monster fantasy game in week 4, after missing 2 games with an oblique injury. He found the end zone 3X while rushing for 80 yards on just 12 carries. He added 4 receptions for 36 yards for good measure. Unfortunately for Walker, he and the Seahawks still lost to the Lions 42-29.
D’Andre Swift – Swift finally had that game that Swift fantasy owners have been hoping for since they drafted him. Swift still hasn’t had 20 carries in a game yet, but he still managed to rush for 93 yards on 16 carries, adding 1 TD. He was also able to haul in all 7 of his targets for 72 yards receiving.
Jordan Mason – Mason has 91 carries for 447 yards in the 1st 4 games of the season. Christian who? I don’t see SF rushing McCaffrey back (no pun intended) from injury any time soon, if even at all this season. In week 4, Mason rushed 24 times for 123 yards and 1 TD, adding 2 receptions for 37 yards along the way.
Honorable Mentions:
Chase Brown – 15 carries for 80 yards and 2 TDs
Jahmyr Gibbs – 14 carries for 78 yards and 2 TDs
Chuba Hubbard – 18 carries for 104 yards and 1 TD
Biggest Losers
Breece Hall – Sure, they were battling inclement weather, but Hall only rushed for 4 yards on 10 carries. He was stuffed on the one yard line twice in a row in the first quarter, and finished that quarter with minus 3 yards rushing. Tough day for the Jets all around, as they ended up losing the game 9-10.
De’Von Achane – Achane rushed for only 15 yards on 10 carries, adding 14 yards on 3 receptions, in Miami’s 12-31 loss to the Titans. Unfortunately for Achane and the rest of the Dolphins offense, as long as Tua Tagovailoa is out, the entire offense will sputter.
Devin Singletary – Singletary rushed for only 24 yards on 14 carries, and added 1 reception for 14 yards in NY’s 15-20 loss to the Cowboys.

Tight Ends
Biggest Winners
Pat Freiermuth – Although Pittsburgh was handed their first loss of the season to a Colts team who lost their QB to an in-game injury, Freiermuth was able to find the end zone for the first time this season, with one of his 5 hauled in receptions. Those 5 receptions went for a total of 57 yards.
Taysom Hill – I guess Hill is technically a TE….or a QB….or the new Kordell Stewert slash? Regardless, he’s listed as a TE, and had 6 rushing attempts for 24 yards and 2 TDs.
Tucker Kraft – We’ve got GB Packers across the board of biggest winners in week 4. Since they fell behind early, they went to the air. We’ve seen QB J. Love, WR J. Reed, and now Kraft all get in on the action. Kraft had more targets in week 4 then the other 3 weeks combined. He turned 9 targets into 6 receptions for 53 yards and his first TD of the season as well.
Honorable Mentions:
George Kittle – 4 receptions for 45 yards and 1 TD
Travis Kelce – 7 receptions for 89 yards
Biggest Losers
Brock Bowers – After recording 9 receptions for 98 yards in week 2, Bowers was only able to bring in 2 passes for 19 yards, despite WR Davante Adams being out.
Cole Kmet – It looked like Kmet and QB Caleb Williams found their chemistry last week, when Kmet hauled in 10 receptions for 97 yards and 1 TD. In week 4, Kmet was only able to bring in 3 receptions for 34 yards.
Defense
Biggest Winners
San Francisco – The 9ers defense was able to dominate the Patriots getting to the QB 6 times, had 1 INT, and 2 fumble recoveries, taking one to the house.
Atlanta – Although the Falcons gave up 24 points, they were still able to record 1 sack, 1 INT, 1 fumble recovery, and most important, 2 TDs.
Biggest Losers
Buffalo – The Bills were 3-0 going into their contest against the Baltimore Ravens, where they just go pummeled. The Bills did record a sack and even recovered a fumble, but they gave up 35 points.
